We save around 800 to 900 snakes every year (since our foundation) and release them in their natural habitat immediately.

We don’t advocate snake shows as it is an illegal  act. Birds and Mammals are also rescued and medically treated as required and released.

We conduct around 50 to 100 free educational programs every year on various subjects such as Birds, Mammals, Reptiles and so on. These programs are conducted at Schools,  Colleges, Villages and Cities.

We fight against illegal trades and practices and file cases against it in the Court of Law. We have fought cases against Blackbuck poaching-1999, Snake Skin scandal- 1999, Sloth  Bear rescue-2000, and Parakeet trading-2005.

Wildlife library building (1600 Sq Ft) was constructed in 2007 and the library itself was started in 2009. ‘Pakshi Vrundavan Prakalpa’, a habitat for birds, is being developed in Talegaon.

All unauthorized Saw-mills in rural areas of Talegaon, Lonawala, Chakan, Khed, and Dehu Rd were identified. MSEDCL was compelled to disconnect power supply to them. Consequently, all  unauthorized saw mills were forced to shut down. Similar action is in progress for unauthorized saw mills in Pune city.

A Mahseer Fish revival project was started in Dec 2010. 8 Feet long Mahseer Fish, which became extinct in Indrayani river after 1983. We conditioned the fry size fish to polluted water of Indrayani river. 35000 fish were grown to the size of 9 inch in the floating cages at river. They were trained & then released in open river. After consistent scientific efforts for three years, finally in 2013 we can see these fish grown to 2ft length. They can be seen from the Dehu bridge. Now a MAHSEER hatchery is also started at Talegaon to continue this project further. C.I.F.E. & N.F.D.B. are the government agencies who provided all required material for this project. Well known expert from Mahseer field, Mr Shashank Ogale provided all technical expertise for this project.
